Generosity is our story

Every gift is a gift

Why We Give

We give in response to God’s generosity with us.
We give to experience joy.

Legacy Giving

Legacy giving allows you to support the mission and vision of the church during your lifetime and beyond.

How We Give

There are many faithful and helpful ways to give! Here we share many of those options.

Why we give

  • 1. We believe in a generous God. What we see in the Bible, over and over again, is a God whose gifts of mercy and love are never distributed in a pinched or stingy way, but always extravagantly shared, whether people are deserving or not. We seek to emulate that generosity by using our personal resources to reflect God’s generosity with us.

  • 2. We believe in abundance. God has created this world in such a way that there is enough for everyone. We give of what we have in hope for the day when everyone in our world has enough.

  • 3. We give because it cultivates joy within us. We live in a culture that would have us believe that the way to happiness is to gain more—more money, more things, more pleasure. We know that giving away a portion of what we have leads to joy and contentment.

  • 4. We give to what we believe matters in the world. By giving to the church, we are giving to community, to belonging, to worship, to justice work.

How We Give

  • Grace makes electronic giving through your bank or credit card easy! Give a one-time gift or set up an automatic bank transfer on your desired date and at your preferred frequency. To set up electronic giving, click here

For any questions, contact Lisa Wolf.

  • Using weekly envelopes is another wonderful way to give. Envelopes can be placed in the Offering Plate on Sunday mornings (just outside the Sanctuary doors) or they can be dropped off or mailed to the church office during the week: 7800 W. County Road 42, Apple Valley, MN 55124.

If you’d like to receive a supply of Offering Envelopes, contact Lisa Wolf.

  • General offering envelopes are also available in the pew racks in the Sanctuary. These can be placed in the Offering plate, on the table outside the sanctuary.

  • A qualified charitable distribution allows individuals who are 70 ½ years old or older to donate up to $100,000 total to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions. Contact the Director of Church Operations, Lisa Wolf, for more information.

  • Giving corporate stock or mutual fund shares is an option to fulfill a pledge to the church, or as an additional gift. Your financial advisor will put in motion your desire to donate through electronic transfer of your stock or mutual fund shares to the church’s brokerage account. Privacy laws make it difficult to trace the identity of a stock or fund donor. At the same time that you contact your financial advisor, please contact Lisa Wolf, Director of Church Operations, to provide the name of the stock/mutual fund, the number of shares, and your intentions for your gift.
